ISO 17100

ISO 17100 is an international standard for translation service quality established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
It covers the entire translation process—from translator qualifications and project management to review procedures, file handling, and confidentiality.

In other words, it goes beyond “good translation.” It defines strict requirements for expertise, processes, quality control, and data security
all of which must be met to achieve certification.

How SORA Translations Works in Line with ISO 17100

01 Only Subject-Matter Experts Are Assigned

Only translators who meet ISO 17100 qualification standards are selected

02 Enhanced TEP Process

TEP (Translation–Editing–Proofreading) ISO 17100 requires an independent review process involving at least two roles (translator + reviewer).

This enhanced quality assurance process helps ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

From project intake and analysis to assignment, translation, review, QA, and delivery, every step is documented and managed in accordance with ISO 17100.
